Day of Consecrated Life. Source of joy for the MSP

FEB 13, 2026

n February 2nd, the Universal Church celebrated the Day of Consecrated Life. For us, as the MSP, who are on the path to becoming a religious institute, it was a day of great joy.

First, we want to express our gratitude for the support we are receiving in this process from Bishop Juan José Salaverry, O.P., auxiliary bishop of Lima, who was able to visit His Holiness Pope Leo XIV last month, taking advantage of the ad limina visit made by all the bishops of Peru.

Secondly, we want to share that our Vicar General, Father Walter Corsini, msp, and our local superior, Father Paolo Giandinotto, MSP, participated in the Holy Mass celebrated in the Cathedral of Cusco on January 31st where they were able to share, together with Bishop Richard Alarcón Urrutia, a beautiful celebration commemorating Consecrated Life. Other religious communities also participated alongside the bishop.

Finally, we share some photographs of the February 2nd celebration with the children of our Saint Tarsicius Home.

We would also like to recall some words that our Holy Father Leo XIV shared with us on the occasion of the celebration of Consecrated Life: "Religious life, in effect, with its serene detachment from all that is fleeting, teaches the inseparability between the most authentic care for earthly realities and loving hope in eternal ones, already chosen in this life as the ultimate and exclusive end, which illuminates everything else."
