APR 30, 2024
The Saint Tarcisius Home welcomes abandoned and abused children, victims of trafficking, etc. Since the beginning of 2024 we have welcomed four new children. Their stories are very difficult and moving. One of them had a mother who suffers from schizophrenia and lived with his aunt, another lived on the street, another was abandoned as a child with his little sister, and the last one we received, a few days ago, was physically attacked by his father and did not even go to school.
Father Giovanni used to speak of them as “our jewels” because they are the Lord's favorites and because they are children who, despite being so young, have already suffered much in their lives.
"They are true angels who often, unfortunately, lose the shine in their eyes little by little, lose their joy, cry because those who were supposed to protect them have abused them, their parents have abandoned them, the world has rejected them." (Don't kill the angels!)
These children are for us a gift from God Who loves us in them, because Jesus tells us in the Gospel, "Let the children come to me, and do not prevent them, because the Kingdom of God belongs to such as these" (Mk 10:14). We try to make them, little by little, forgive the people who hurt them.
We ask for your prayers for these children in need.
