The extraordinary mission group in the Huarqui mission, along with its communities of Q’ello Cocha, Sasicancha, Chaupi Mayo, Pampa Cancha, and Sayllafaya in the Cusco – Lamay region, has been working with great enthusiasm. On this occasion, we were accompanied by Emeshe and Nohemí, young women who are carrying out their missionary experience.

Throughout this year, we have been working on preparing the young people and children for the sacraments, in coordination with the religion teacher. On Thursday, October 23, 18 children received the sacrament of first communion, and one of them also received the sacrament of baptism. The celebration was presided over by Father Julio, the parish priest of Lamay. All the students and teachers from the primary and secondary schools were present at this ceremony, as well as residents from the various communities who participated joyfully in the Holy Mass.

We thank everyone and invite you to join us in prayer so that, together with our prayers, we can support the 5th-year high school students who will receive the sacrament of confirmation on December 6th. This event is very important and meaningful for them and they continue to prepare with great dedication.
