A Path of Prayer for Lent

MAR 3, 2026

During this season of Lent, our community customarily prays the Stations of the Cross every Friday as a way of prayer that helps us contemplate the Passion of Christ and deepen our understanding of the meaning of His self-giving out of love. Through each station, we are reminded that the Lord bore the cross for each one of us, and that His sacrifice is not merely an event of the past, but a present-day call to conversion of the heart.

The Way of the Cross invites us to pause, to look at our own crosses, and to unite them with that of Christ. On this spiritual journey, we learn that small daily sacrifices—such as refraining from a harsh word, offering help without expecting anything in return, and fulfilling our duties with responsibility—also form part of that path which transforms us inwardly. Thus, we come to understand that Lent is not merely a time of penance, but a concrete opportunity to renew our faith.

As a community, we renew our commitment to instill this beautiful prayer in our children, youth, and collaborators, so that they may discover within it a school of faith and strength. We also invite you to pray the Way of the Cross in your homes, creating spaces for quiet contemplation and reflection that allow you to experience this season of Lent with greater depth. To walk with Christ toward the Cross is to prepare ourselves, with hope, for the joy of the Resurrection.
