“In every Mass, the bread and wine, along with our lives, are received by God and returned as a sign of his absolute love… In the Eucharist, this is precisely what happens between us and God: the Lord receives, sanctifies, and blesses the bread and wine that we place on the altar, along with the offering of our lives, and transforms them into the Body and Blood of Christ, a sacrifice of love for the salvation of the world. We sisters at the Quille mission had the grace to celebrate, with great excitement, the first communion of Katherine, one of our girls. Following the Holy Father's message, may every Holy Mass be for us a moment to offer our lives as a gift and unite ourselves with Jesus with the same joy with which we receive the gift of his love.
