Soccer Championship with Alumni, Former Workshop Participants and Former Interns

AUG 20, 2025

At the beginning of this month, taking advantage of the mid-week holiday, a soccer tournament was held with the participation of former students, former workshop participants, and former residents of the City of Boys. Very early in the morning, a bus departed from Cusco to pick up the young men and take them to Andahuaylillas where they shared breakfast before the sporting event began.

More than just a tournament, the activity became a true fraternal gathering. It was an opportunity to reconnect with those who at some point were part of our schools, workshops, and home, and it was a great joy to see that many of them have already established a professional career, started a family, or are steadily progressing along that path.

The day wasn't solely focused on sports. There were also moments of faith and reflection: the visit to the grave of our founder, participation in Holy Mass, and a shared catechesis after lunch. These moments gave a profound spiritual meaning to the gathering, reminding us that the bond that unites us transcends time and place, because we all remain part of this great family.

With this championship, we reaffirmed our mission to accompany, encourage, and keep alive the relationship with those who once walked alongside us, strengthening the bonds of friendship, gratitude, and hope that unite us in every reunion.
